How to set a monthly AI subscription budget

Build a practical subscription budget using native currencies, seat costs, recurring plans and a separate allowance for usage uncertainty.

Start with the subscription payment

List the tools you expect to pay for each month and the currency of each quote. Separate a recurring subscription from optional credit packs and annual upfront payments. A monthly budget should make those commitments visible before it tries to estimate the number of finished assets.

Choose a plan that permits your work

A low starting price is not useful if the tier excludes commercial use or a required model. Check licensing, export conditions, watermark rules and the settings you need. Bestivio links each starting offer to a provider page so you can make that eligibility check before purchasing.

Worked example: remaining budget

Illustrative example: with a 50 USD monthly budget and a 15 USD account subscription, the arithmetic difference is 35 USD. That remainder is not a promise that the plan supports your image or video target. Additional attempts, another tool or a paid seat can consume part of it.

Do not combine unlike currencies

A 15 EUR subscription and a 15 USD subscription have different denominations. Conversion can depend on checkout and your bank. The calculator compares a quote with the budget only when their currencies match; other quotes remain visible in their listed currency.

Add seats deliberately

If the provider charges per seat, multiply the selected tier by the number of paid seats you actually need when making your own team budget. Guest access, workspaces and shared credits are different concepts. A personal plan does not automatically grant permission to share an account.

Review after a representative month

Record which features you used, whether credits expired and how often the task needed another attempt. Use those observations to adjust your plan rather than upgrading solely because another service advertises a larger credit count. For uncertain projects, compare a shorter commitment with the annual cash payment.

Apply this to a real subscription

Browse provider sources and dated plan observations. The current Luma billing policy and OpenArt pricing FAQ are examples of why payment and credit schedules need separate checks: Luma billing policy ↗ · OpenArt plans and FAQ ↗.
